Science and Humanities Department is an allied department which plays an important role in grooming students with basic knowledge of Sciences and Language. The department is strengthened by well qualified and experienced teachers in the field of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English dedicated for overall development of Students. The department is devoted to dissemination of knowledge form an interdisciplinary perspective and to empower the students with fundamental as well as application based view point.
1. To guide students to discover their talents thorough dedicated teaching, commitment and innovative instructional methods. 2. To provide the practical exposure in the field to produce professionals committed to integrity, professionalism and lifelong learning skills.
To build a foundation for the core engineering subjects in different engineering streams among students
The chemistry lab aims to provide a platform to the students to nurture the budding engineer within them. The lab is equipped with all the required chemicals and apparatus to cater to the needs of the curriculum. The lab aims to inculcate curiosity and inquisitiveness which plays an important role in developing an engineering temperament amongst students.
English practical sessions
In the Applied Physics Laboratory, experiments related to Applied Physics & Physics are performed by the students under the supervision of the expert faculty members.
Dr Shyam Khambholja received a grant of Rs. 19.73 Lakh to carry out research by Board of Research in Nuclear Science, GoI.
Dr Shyam Khambholja received CVM Gaurav Purskar awarded by Charutar Vidya Mandal in March 2018.
Dr Shyam Khambholja received ISTE Best Polytechnic Teacher Award of the Gujarat state for the year 2017 in the 47th Annual Convention of ISTE at Saintgits College of Engineering, Kottayam, Kerala.
